Subject:Mbox, MidiSport 4x4 not seen by Acid 4.0 Pro

I've got Acid 4.0 Pro running on XP Pro and I can't get Acid to see my audio interface, Mbox, or my midi interface, MidiSport 4x4.

Any suggestions?

What do you see under the Audio and MIDI tabs in the ACID preferences?

Under Audio, set the Audio device type to Windows Classic Wave Driver (if your card has ASIO drivers, they should show up at the bottom of this menu) and you should see your inputs/outputs in ACID.

Under MIDI, make sure to check (enable) all the inputs/outputs on your MIDISport that you wish to use with ACID.

I don't see anything...that's the problem. Neither one shows up. I've downloaded the XP versions of the drivers and nothing.

Bizarre to say the least.

Did you check out Digidesign's notes on Windows XP? I noticed, for example, that Service Pack 1 is required.

have you installed the ASIO driver for protools? It may have to be installed manually .Don't use the Wavedriver it really sucks.I had a problem with Midiman also,I had to contact M Audio and get a Beta driver.
