If I'm understanding correctly the problem is the Reason>Rewire are MIDI channels. I don't use Acid much these days for Rewire work, I normally use Cubase or Sonar, in both I add MIDI channels to mix individual tracks...Level Vibes

Did you consult Propellerheads' page on using ACID and Reason?

To be clear:

You have routed different Reason modules to the routing panel in Reason.

If so:

The first bus for Reason that ACID adds is the "master" or stereo pair of Reason.

If you then want to ReWire any of the additional channels of Reason, you add additional buses to ACID to expose the Reason Channels. You do this by clicking "insert Soft Synth" and then selecting the "ReWire tab" and selecting the channels you want.

Reason exposed both audio channels (64 of them) and MIDI channels for each and every module that is part of the Reason Rack. (Adding MIDI was the point of ReWire 2.0)

All the MIDI channels of Reason are always available in ACID. ACID exposes them as seperate ports so they can be routed to in many different ways.

ACID is also dynamic in how it exposed the ports.

You can even see the channels and their layout in the Reason property page in ACID. You can audition each device that is an "instrument" directly.

great thanks. Made a mistake of adding a mixer, I now just route through the top rack. But... Dr. Rex ..how do you get the part into Acid, with no Reason mixer? thanks

Again, for each output in the "router" in Reason that you want to mix in ACID, you have to add an Softsynth Bus in ACID, selecting the Reason outputs that you want.

Do this:

New ACID project.

click on the "Insert Soft Synth..." toolbar button on ACID's Mixer view.

Select the ReWire Tab.

Do you notice all the Reason channels in the list?

Those are the "direct" outputs from Reason. Put which ever ones you want on as many busses as you want in ACID. You then can mix the Reason outputs into ACID's mix how ever you want.
