Subject:Can I do THIS in ACID?

I want to pull out tracks from various projects, to mix in a new project.

It's not appropriate to render all the old tracks into one new wav, because I intend to re-mix them. And it's going to be HELL to render each one separately, because there are SO MANY of the buggers.

I tried cutting and pasting, which didn't work, as well as some other things.

If I intended on mixing, let's say, 3 songs together, is there any simple way to create that enviroment? (ie, to copy tracks or groups of tracks and paste them into a new project?)

Hope there is.

You should be able to open multiple instances of ACID and copy/paste tracks and events between them without trouble. Simply open ACID, open your old project, then open ACID again and copy/paste from the old project to the new one.

Hope this helps.

i'm curious, does this way of copying tracks also include track info like pitch/volume settings, or track fx?

I know that ACID Pro 4.0 lets you do that, but I can't remember if the other versions did.

If there are any assignable FX or Bus envelopes added to the track, their respective envelopes will get copied, but you'll have to add the FX or Busses to the Mixer again. (It may help to save chains so that you may easily select them once you add them again to the Mixer.)
