I am trialling the Acid pro 4.0 programme and it is not playing audio very well. I am running windows 2000, 384 ram and a 1Ghz processor. I do not believe I should be having this problem. It is almost as though the software can not play the audio fast enough. It is not a smooth sound, it is very jumpy ans skips as though my pc does not have enough grunt. All audio I play through my computer on any other programme is fine. Cheers Annalloyd |

Check your project tempo & key settings. Acid will stretch/shrink the wave file to conform to project tempo and raise/lower pitch to match project key. This will drastically impact sound quality, depending on your wave file's medadata. When you choose the wave file in the explorer, look and see what the file stats are at the bottom. If you change the project setting to match the key & tempo of the wave, the "sound" should be the same as if you were playing it in a regular player. If it isn't, then it's probably a sound card driver issue. HTH |
