all the time when I record, I get the those themometer bar levels, or whatever they're called -- what's weird is that sometimes I get numeric read-outs of my peaks (example: -.04, -1, etc.) This wouldn't be an issue, except that I don't want to accidentally distort. I can GUESS at when distorition starts by the peak level height and reddness of the bar. BUT -- how do I get my Number things to come back? |

yes, left clicking will reset them & If they continue to peak in the red -check the input levels in your soundcard's mixer - a small, short red line (red at 0.0 to 0.1) occasionally shouldn't be noticeable but, you really want to avoid the red. |
