OT: SHuttle Pro v.2.0

Hi all,
I just got a shuttle pro for Christmas and I have a few questions I thought users on here could answer.

1) Do you change the factory settings, and what do you change them to?

2) Does anyone know if you can program a single button on the shuttle pro to do a split? I would love to be able to click my mouse and push a button to edit clips.

Thanks in advanve.

1. when you open the Control Panel for Shuttle Pro, you'll see a dropdown listbox called "Application Setting". Sonic Foundry Vegas 4 is on that list. Select it.

2.Yes, you can program a single button to perform an action, such as a keystroke. In this case, select the button you want to program from the dropdown list on the right (Device Event Control-User Action), on the dropdown list for "Computer Response Action" select "Type Keystroke", and then enter "s" (the keystroke in Vegas for Split) without the quotation marks, of course. Now, when you push that particular button, your event will split.

Vegas is listed as both Sonic Foundry Vegas and as Sony Vegas. Just make sure you are making all your changes to the same settings file.

Not only can you set it to split, you can also set it to run any of the 10 definable scripts!

I also received a Shuttle Pro v. 2.0 for Christmas and have reprogrammed some of the buttons.

For those who have used a one, what functions and buttons do you find to be the most useful in how you have your Shuttle Pro set up?

For me, the most used are set to "ctrl F11" which shows the timeline only and "F12" which is play/pause regardless of where the focus is.
