Hey Everybody, Happy New Year!

-- I was curious. I have 20 something ACID FX, and am quite happy with and use only a few: chorus, distortion, and sometimes EQ mainly.

I'm not all that pleased with some of the others, and wondered how these puppies compare to other digital plug-in FX. Are there some FX -- like Wah and Vibrato -- that just NEVER sound nearly as good if you add them digitially later?

Sonic Foundry's effects package for Acid is pretty good but, I understand that there are better direct x offerings out there - it's more a matter of how much money you want to spend.

I prefer SonicTimeworks. Others are Waves or DSP fans. You can go nuts with plugins. The best thing to do is demo the ones you're considering and decide whether or not they're worth the $$$.
