I just purchase ACID 4.0 and I am wondering if it can also be used to remove camera noise from video soundtrack. My video was shot using both a Canon GL1 & GL2. Motor noises can be heard from both camcorders. Has anyone used ACID to successfully remove the hum of a camcorder motor? |

Acid's "not really" what youw ant to use, though I guess you could (what you want is SoundForge). You also need Sony Noise Reduction for the best results, but you could probably play around with EQ settings and get rid of some of it by isolating the frequency and turning it down. Noise Reduction is the way to go, though. It costs, but it's worth it. |

Noise Reduction is a DX effect from Sony. It would be best to use it in Sound Forge. |

Thanks for the advice--just hoping ACID would also get the job done. Sometimes there are no shortcuts. I just joined the forum and love the wealth of information I have found there. |
