im running soundfoge 7 and it wil notl show the directx plugins.

Ok, if the plugin(s) is an / are installable type then i can see and use it / them in sound forge
if the the plugin is a dll then it does not work or cant be seen when click to directx

i have put the dll in the plugin shared folder under SF7, the root director and even created a folder on the c:\ called plugins, rebooted the PC and still SF7 cannot see theseplugins

these dll's are made for PC's and the manuals and websites say that they will work with sound applications that use directx

if it was only one plugin then i could say it is a plugin problem but with many dll plugin not showing then it must be me at fault

can you tell me a solution ?

thanks

Under DX Favorites>Organize Favorites on the menu bar, can you see anything in the "Third Party" folder?

I learned this one a few weeks back in this forum. If you have plugins that are just .dll plugins but don't come with there own setup program, then you can register these plugins by dragging and dropping the .dll file into Sound Forge. This will allow them to come up in the DXfavorites folder in Sound Forge. If the .dll plugin is a VST plugin, it will not work in Sound Forge. Sound Forge does not support VST plugins. If it's a DX plugin, then the drag and drop method should work for you.
