Subject:Getting ASIO to be my default choice

In the Option>Preferences>Audio of Acid 4, I always have to select "ASIO" from "Windows Classic Wave Driver" in the the drop down whenever I open Acid. How can I get ASIO to be my default choice?
Thanks
Gary

That's weird. ASIO should remain the driver model of your choice.

Does ACID close properly? What's your soundcard/audio interface?

Iacobus, I have the Delta 1010.
Acid always closes properly.
I thought it weird too.
Any other ideas?
Thanks, Gary

Sound card panel open when you close and re-open acid?

Delta 1010 doesn't open with the actvation of programs.
You ned to call it up.
I did a total clean install from ACID 4.0e exe file and all seems fine.
Honestly, update after update without a clean install somewhere along the line just always seems to be asking for trouble.
I do want to thank the both of you for coming to my aid!

Good to hear you have it cleared up, Gary.

I have the Audiophile 2496, which I believe uses the same set of Delta drivers. I'm using the latest supported versions for Windows XP.

Occasionally, some users have troubles, which can be remedied by installing clean as you have. (The update for ACID Pro can also be installed by itself without any previous ACID installation.)
