Hello to all, I am a new user of Sound Forge 7.0a (262) I have no problems with the software and the plug-ins as such, it is more with burning the CD. I tried in various way and the results are very disappointing, even unpredictable. 1 ° = I do not succeed in giving a name in every musical details onto the CD. On 4 try consecutive,Even if I put marker pens and even if I named them , the first one the assembly ( Live) with the applauses and all the kit of audio assembly was everything of a complete block and other quite, met itself in 17 separate tracks, not continue it as me had gone(taken) up them. I passed through all the rest without excesses of problems but there! As you can notice it, English is not my mother tongue... Best regards, C.East. |

Sound Forge does not have the ability to burn a "Disk-at-once" CD. Which means you can NOT, break a long continuous file with different CD tracks and burn it to a CD with different CD tracks with no gaps between track ID's. Sound Forge supports "Track-at-once" burning, which will allow you to burn multiple tracks to a CD, but they will be placed with a 2 second space of no sound between each song. Sony's other programs, like "Vegas and CD Architect" have "Disk-at-once" features, where you can easily do what you are trying to do. I think this answers your question? You're right we can tell English is not your mother tongue. |

I'm using Nero 6. Wonderful lexible burning software. Much better than Roxio, in my opinion. My only recomendation after months of head scratching is that you chose not to keep the metafiles if you want to burn dao without incident. In Nero you can have some tracks appear to be track at once with a space betweren the cuts and some cuts segued on the same disc. It's not as easy to use as Roxio but the reults make it worth the effort to learn the software and their tech suppport is excellent. |

Will Roxio burn a continuous mix without any gaps between the tracks like Nero? This is basically the only function I need my burning program to do, and I'd hate to spend 100 bucks on Nero when Roxio will do it just fine. |

Will Roxio burn a continuous mix without any gaps between the tracks like Nero? I don't know about Nero but I assume it will if you select no 2 second gaps between tracks based on what I've read. Roxio doesn't require this. I've used Roxio for years without any problems even though some have reported problems.I've made countless CD-Rs with Sound Forge extracting regions and burning with Roxio with absolutely no hick-ups between track. Even Direct CD that some say shouldn't be installed, their packet writing software which makes CD-Rs act like HDDs has been flawless across all of my systems and many of my client's has been absolutely flawless. I couldn't live without it.. I do PC Doctor work and since I use Roxio's Direct CD extensively across all my PCs and don't want to close disks I install the Roxio reader on all my client's PCs and have NEVER experienced a problem ever. I didn't choose Roxio, it came bundled with one of my first burners (5.0) years ago. I have no monetary reason to support them Roxio supports CD Text even using filenames such as what one would name regions in Sound Forge and never has failed me. MJ |
