I've tried to burn a mix to CD 3 times now and I keep getting the same error which essentialy says that I have a file read access error. It occurs in the same spot (about 45% through) every time. I've tried shutting down and rebooting between each attempt with no luck. I don't have any programs open that might be trying to access the file while burning. I'm stumped. Any ideas? I'm sick of wasting these high quality CD's! Thanks. |

DID YOU RENDER OUT ALL YOUR TRACKS IN ACID TO ONE .WAV FILE?? if not, do that...if you have mp3's mixed in with your tracks, or all mp3's, sometimes it will cause all sorts of errors. you need to remember...mp3 files ARE NOT AUDIO FILES!!!! they are data files converted to audio. where as a .wav IS an audio file. if they are all wavs (songs you ripped into acid) you should still try to render out the whole project as one .wav file. with this though, you need a program to insert track markers. if you render out just one big .wav, all you have is one 74 (or 80 min) song. there will be no tracking. youll need a program to insert those track markers (cd architect) im sure there are hundreds of programs for this though. i am just familiar with cd architect, cuz thats what i use. hope this helps ya out. --marc |

Try burning at a lower rate, around 4x, 2x or even 1x and see if it still happens. More errors can occur at higher burn rates. HTH, Iacobus ------- RodelWorks - Original Music for the Unafraid mD's ACIDplanet Page |

OK, Marcarotsky - I tried rendering it as a WAV (they were all MP3's) and I discovered that I had some curropt file space on my hard drive. A thorough scan disk cured that problem and I successfully burned my first mix! Who hoo! mD - I burn at 4x. 6x is too fast for my pc to keep up with the buffering. |
