Subject:Beatmap wizard not working?

In Sonic Foundy Acid 4.0, whenever I select a home-made sound file to be used, it inserts a portion of silence before and after the track, making looping impossible. I closed Acid, opened the file in Cool Edit Pro, and edited the silence out. Even when I do this, every time I open it in Acid, the silence is placed there (it is only a couple milliseconds, but enough to ruin a smooth transition in a loop). Is there any way to fix this?

Solved the problem--Cool Edit's mp3 encoding added the extra time, not Acid.

Generally speaking, all MP3s will have time at the begginning and the end. MP3s are just not a good thing for loop delivery.
