Subject:EQ - I don't understand

I seem to be able to add EQ pre-sets, enable them, but when I move on sometimes the earlier ones I set disappear.

This is more confusing as all the titles ("cutting freq lower than...") etc, turn into UNINTITLED as soon as I set them.

Am I doing something wrong? Should I click SAVE after each setting?

-- Also, an important question: should I add effects, EQ etc BEFORE I do my final mix? In other words, do some effects boost sound levels to distortion?

it all depends on what kind of music youre going for, but usually most people EQ and Compress most tracks, then mixdown and open in SF and do some more tweaking.

you really have to experiment. your ears are different than everyone elses.

ill end on this note: if it sounds good to you, it IS good.

in my case any preset title of a plugin is reset to "untitled" if moving to another plugin. the present itself, however, remains as selected
