Just wondered if anyone new how to make a clean loop from something recorded from Xphraze, or VLP120, to make it sit with the rest of the track as it were. Do I have to take it into Sound Forge? thanks |

you can try recording it directly in soundforge, and then use your ears to find a portion of the recording that can loop (almost) seemlessly. There are some programs that automatically find the "best possible" loops in a recording, but I can't recall any at the moment (do some googling on "seemless loops"). If its pads/atmospheres/scapes you're recording, and the loop you create is not "perfect," you can still rectify the problem by adding some delay |

brux, if you are indeed making pad-type loops, you might want to also go into the track properties from any such loop and under the Stretch tab's "stretching method" option, choose, "Nonlooping segments." This setting works great for such material and may help a lot. HTH, Iacobus ------- RodelWorks - Original Music for the Unafraid mD's ACIDplanet Page |
