I have Acid and I'm looking for a simple program that will allow me to apply DirectX effects to a file after I render it. Sound forge is overkill, re there any free programs that do this? |

You could always put it back thru Acid as a one shot. |

Will Acid mess with it (alter tempo, pitch, or anything else)? |

Not unless you want to. Listen, it's not the perfect solution, but It will work for adding DX effects and you already own it. Right? |

Thank you. I just did a check to make sure. I put an audio file as a one shot in Acid and made the track and master volume 0 db. Then I rendered it to a new file and did a file comparison between that one and the origional. The two files matched up exactly. |

The "One-shot" track type is the only type of track that ACID will never alter/stretch. It always takes the track at face value. HTH, Iacobus ------- RodelWorks - Original Music for the Unafraid mD's ACIDplanet Page |
