Subject:Selection Tool Trouble

I thought the selection Tool (rubber band box icon) only selected what it was drawn over. Mine is selecting everything along the vertical line I move it over at the same time. Eg I move it over track one in the first measure and every track with an event in the first measure is selected at the same time. Often it's virtually the same as CTRL + A (select all). Is this how it is supposed to work, or is this some kind of bug?

You have the Selection Tool in vertical selection mode.

Keep right-clicking your mouse until you're back in free selection mode. (Should take a couple right-button clicks.)

It's behaving itself this morning but I'll remember what you said. I guess I better go and check out all teh shortcut keys as I seem to be setting things off accidentally.
