No - they're impulse files for the Acoustic Mirror effect in SF. Basically, each impulse is a particular "ambience" from a place, such as a church, stadium, bathroon, whatever. When you run audio through the Acoustic Mirror plug-in you can choose which impulse you want to use, therefore having your drumloop or whatever sound like it's playing in a variety of different acoustic spaces.

You can use Acoustic Mirror as an FX in ACID, but I wouldn't recommend it. It's quite intensive.

Intensive in terms of memory requirements?

It sounds quite cool.
