Subject:effects questions

When I add track effects -- like EQ or compression -- I use the pre-sets, which seem to work. But the name of the pre-set disappears and "UNINTITLED" shows in the top box.

1) does this mean I need to click SAVE to apply the FX to the track?

I can't imagine I have to re-name an effect that already has a name.

thats nothing new. but even if you rename it to something you name it, it still might not show up next time you restart AP

You don't have to save. You should be OK and FX settings should be kept. The preset name should keep until you add a new FX to the chain, which always defaults to, "Untitled," thereby resetting everything else in preset name only.

If you plan on customizing and saving presets for later use, I'd highly recommend picking up the Preset Manager.
