Subject:Recording in Acid records every track

When I record my guitar through the microphone into Acid, it always records all tracks that are playing, and merges them into the new track. I want to be able to listen to the song while I am recording, but obviously I want my recording track to be separate from the rest of the song. I went into the volume settings on my computer, and made sure that the only active recording source is the microphone (that was suggested by a knowledge base article here). However, that didn't fix the probem. I have an Advance AC 97 sound card, and it doesn't have a "What you hear" sound recording option that I can turn off (as suggested in the Knowledge Base). I use Win2K, and Acid 4.0. Any help would be really apreciated! Thanks! |

Are you using headphones? If not, are you recording in the same room that your speakers are in? Doug |

I'm using headphones. When it captures the other tracks, it's crystal clear, like it's being recorded internally. |
