I would like to know iof sound forge has the capability to output spectrum data to a text file. |

A text file? A spectrum analysis is a graphical illustration, how do you make that a text file? Do you mean like a picture or bitmap? The spectral analysis has a print button to send the graph to a printer. You can also use the Windows tool of "ALT+Print Screen" to capture the graph to the clipboard and then paste it into a text document. |

I think he's looking for data charts, am I right? Try a tool called Praat to do that, available here http://www.fon.hum.uva.nl/praat/ Praat is a phonetics tool, but it also has piles of analysis tools that are, well, impossible to use at first, but very functional. You can also try WaveSurfer (Sorry, no link) which is another analysis tool. Both are analysis heavy but light on the usability... Now, if you are looking for image data, Rednroll is spot on, and you can always turn graphics to ASCII image text files using any number of free tools, but I think that's a touch avante garde... |
