Anyone in here use both ACID & FL Studio? What do you use each for if you do use both?

I have had a license for ACID Pro since the release of version 3, have since upgraded to version 4, and kept my installation of the program pretty much up to date. The only problem - I've never used ACID to compose anything. Exclusively, I've only been using FL Studio. I guess I've kept my ACID copy up to date - hoping some day I will use it, but I've never really run into anything that restricted me in FL Studio. Now I'm thinking that I'm probably just not taking the right approach. So this is why I would like to know some of your experiences with the interaction of these two cool programs!

Thank you!!

I've used both a lot.

One of the things that has tripped me up the most is that ACID is not a performance tool, so composing really is "authoring" which is counter-intertuitive to musicians.

The thing that ACID does that FL can't touch is beat matching (tempo/pitch shifting) but it's done this essentially the same way since 2.0. Other than that FL is better for performer/composers.

I'm down to using ACID strictly as a wav editor for stretching pitch and bpm, then importing the result to FL.
