is there something wrong with sony's registry of users. i registered my copy of acid pro 4 a few months ago. today, i tried opening one of my projects that has an mp3 file inside, and acid says sf's "mp3 2.0" plug-in is not registered. i have to register every plugin now? fine, very unreasonable, but ok, i'll go with the flow. i then tried to "register online" but i get an error saying my serial number does not exist in the database? what's going on? |

You have to register the MP3 plug-in mainly because Sony wants to know how many people are using it. It actually costs Sony money to put support for the official MP3 format in their products. (Fraunhofer, who owns the rights to the MP3 format, has to be paid a licensing fee by whoever wants to use the format.) Once in a while, the server hiccups. You can either try at a later time or give Sony a call. HTH, Iacobus ------- RodelWorks - Original Music for the Unafraid mD's ACIDplanet Page |
