i have a project that i'm working on in acid. about 10-12 wav loops and 2 midi tracks. acid will lag like hell when it gets to parts where theres a decent number of sounds playing. any idea how to cut the lag out? specs: Acid Pro 4 (updated) WinXP 640Mb RAM 1.8 Ghz Pentium 4 100 Gb Hard drive (40% free) Sound Blaster Audigy 2 Platinum |

Ignore Sin, not everyone can have a hammerfall, mia or protools system and he gets cranky with prosumer level cards :) here's some help instead for the latency problem, if using asio the project must be set at 16bit/48khz if using directsound set to 24bit/48khz. i'd go ds route. better resolution as creatives asio is kind of short for their cards capabilities with little explanation of why that is. that should lessen the latency to acceptable if not nearly unnoticable especially the directsound |
