Hey everyone. I've done some searches through the forums, but couldn't find a clear answer to a problem, so i'm going to post and hope someone has a solution for me! I've been using Acid Pro for 3 years now, and love it, and decided to use it to record some songs that a friend and i have written. We have been recording the guitar first, then the drums. Everything sounds great when we record the guitar. However, when we go to record the drum tracks, the guitar playback in the headphones seems to be off beat, and thereby screwing everything up. We've tried messing with the latency a bit, but to no avail. I have a Sound Blaster Audigy X-Gamer 5.1 digital sound card, and using AcidPro 4.0. I know that people have been running into this problem, and i'm hoping someone has found the solution. THANK YOU!!! :) |

The only way I have found to fix this is to record your drums/guitar as normal, but once it is 'painted' into ACID, you have to go into the OPTIONS / GRID SPACING / then select 64th note triplets or whatever is the smallest option at the bottom of the menu. Click on the 'problem' track and zoom in pretty far. Then click and drag the track 1 click either to the right or left. That should cause the latency thing to pretty much disappear. It usually takes me one click to the right at 64th Note Triplets to get it lined up.(I have ACID Pro 4.0.....I think 3.0 only goes to 32nd Note Triplets, but just play with the grid spacing number until you find the right one) Sometimes it takes 2 clicks, but 1 click to the right is usually enough for me. Hope this helps. ....Jerry (Lthrboots)........... |
