Subject:Recording With Playin Instrumental In BG..

How do I go about doing this? I've read somethings from the SF7 manual but only gives processes to go thru. I've Tried Sync Out and the Window options, but those only seem to record w/o playback of the instrumental.

Any help is appreciated. Thank You.

You might want to try selecting your hardware input for recording only. If that doesn't work, ensure that your soundcard's software mixer is not enabling your other hardware inputs. (Be sure they're muted or deselected.)

I don't know how to set my HW input for recording only..but i've tried the mixer selections and still no progress.

if you read this again can you explain in some detail please?

I'm guessing you are looking for a multi-track app. in which case Sound Forge is not, it's a stereo audio editor.

Sony's Vegas is the multi-track app., if you are a registered owner you should have access to Vegas LE, at least it was that way up to SF 6.
