How do you get it to record & still stay locked to MTC {as the slave}???

You can't, since ACID does not support triggering record with MTC

This is not a esoteric feature...it a basic function for recording!
I dont get it ?

For a multitrack/DAW, yes, I would agree. ACID is not a multitrack. ACID is not about being a slave to other things.

Vegas triggers to MTC for recording.
