Acid Pro 4.0 vs. Screenblast Acid 4.0 -ACID Product Family

I don't need the extra features such as midi, plug-in support, 5.1 surround, etc, because I'm just going to use it to make beats and then import the audio into Logic Audio Platinum for midi sequencing. Thanks.

I don't know offhand. Make sure you note the differences between the two versions. You may find you want a feature down the road that ACID Pro only has. (ACID Pro does 24-bit while Screenblast does 16-bit, for example. ACID Pro also has stretch markers, which can be important depending on how you work.) Instead of getting multi-genre, you can pick and chose which style works best for you and buy it. So for about the same price as Pro 4.0, you get the software that you need, and exactly the style of loops you want. M

Does anyone have any feedback on which loop CD's are good for Hip-Hop? I will be experimenting with Acid to come up with Hip-Hop beats which is not my normal genre. Just need some hot beats as a foundation to come up with R&B/Hip-Hop tracks/songs. Thanks.
