Subject:Explorer Samples Play all Funny

When I'm in a project, and I use EXPLORER to check out WAV samples, some play at goofy pitches and speeds (and some play perfectly).

I can't quite figure this. The WAV's aren't acidized as to being LOOPS or ONE-SHOT, so it's not like Acid is trying to bring a loop up into my project's key.

WHat's going on, and how do I fix it?

When I "preview" WAVs in EXPLORER, at the bottom of the screen sometimes it says BEATMAPPED, followed by BPM info etc, and sometimes it says LOOP, followed by that other stuff.

the only way I can get these misbehaving WAVs to play correctly (at the right pitch), is to bring them into the project and change them to ONE SHOTs.

Any ideas, anybody?
