ok

heres the thing

after i finished my first cd, i backed up the project files with all waves attached to cd.

however, some of those cds, i cannot find anymore..

but i also put them on the hdd..

one fateful day i decided to resize my partition with the backups on it, and it failed halfway through.

now, i have clicks and errors in some of my wave files...

its strange though, cause theyre the same size as ones that are ok...

for instance

here is an mp3 of an ok file.

http://server3.uploadit.org/files/191103-aRecord Take 17AOK.mp3

then here is the bad version

http://server3.uploadit.org/files/191103-aRecord Take 17BAD.mp3

picture of the good version:

http://server3.uploadit.org/files/191103-good-wave.jpg

and a picture of the bad one:

http://server3.uploadit.org/files/191103-bad-wave.jpg

file size of the good one is the SAME exact SIZE! down to the bytes.

so, what can i do??

is there some way to fix this?

First I would try and locate the majority of the files you backed up on the CD's, and copy them to your hard drive and replace the corrupted files. Then for the ones you don't have backups of I woud look into getting something like Norton File recovery utility, which can fix a lot of file corruption issues.
