I was wondering if there is a way to remove vocals or a beat from songs using sound forge? If so how do I do it? If not what if any program can I get to do this? Thanks in adavance for your help. |

Answer that makes the most sense: NO -or you can try any one of the following: Build your own!! How does it work? Or head on over to analogx |

You can use SF to remove the "Center" information as described in the How does it work? from Vanblah. However, the result is that ALL center info gets taken out, Snare & kick drum being the prime targets...all that will remain is the reverb of center info. the sound will suck. i've done it on accasion and it seems to appease the cattle of humanity...but you probably won't like it. |

Incidentally... AnalogX plugin sucks. Jump on yer KaZaa and look for instrumentals and/or acapellas. Or, get yourself a turntable and invest in a record pool. Due to the frequency range of the human voice, it's dang near m-possible to filter out its tones. Someday... :) |
