Does anyone know how to resolve this error?

Sounds like something went kablooey along the way.

Have you tried uninstalling and then reinstalling both ACID Pro and the ReWire app that you're using? (Similarly, is there an update for the ReWire app?)

Not done it myself (but Reason 2.5 enroute) but I understand rewire is very sensiitve to the order the apps are opened. Try opening Acid first then launching your rewire app.
