Ahhhh....! this is so annyoying. Whenever I record in ACID, the audio comes out fine but about 1 second too late, maybe even more. Anyways, its a pain zooming in a correcting this especially if the wave volume is low and you cant visually see the wave. Has this happened to anyone else? If, so how can I fix it? thanks, djxsoundz I'm using Pro 4.0d made by Sonic Foundry not SONY! |

you need to record at higher levels #1. it seems as if you have high "latency" on your sound card also, try updating your driver and adjusting your sound card latency as low as it can go while keeping your system stable! --marc |

This has happened to me before, but I believe it was the soundcard drivers causing it. I'm not entirely sure. Using an M-Audio Audiophile 2496 with latest supported drivers in ACID Pro 4.0e Build 408. Using ASIO as the driver model. What sound card are you using? What driver model ? (ASIO, Wave Classic, Mapper) Peter |

I'm using an ECHO MIA sound card, i know ACID is the problem since i dont get this in other programs. I am using the Classic Wave Driver because only that one lets me choose which input to record from. My card has never had any 'latency' issues. thanks. |

You could also try using the PureWave driver mode of the Mia. The Mia does permit you to select different inputs in ASIO mode (mine does), so I don't understand why you can select the desired input in ASIO mode. However, since you know it is ACID at fault and you are not familar with how to use ASIO inputs with the Mia, I will suggest that try setting the record latency offset in ACID in the audio prefs page. As has been suggested by marcarotsky and SonyPCH, try changing your record latency offset, which can be adjusted on the Prefs/Audio page. You'll only be able to adjust up to 1000ms -- typically that is a *huge* amount of offset, so its really vexing what about your system could be causing that. Also, which driver version are you using?
