Subject:Where's the Rec Monitor in SF7?

Unless I'm mistaken, it seems the Rec Monitor Enable checkbox in the Recording dialog has been removed in Sound Forge 7. Why?

It's still the fastest way to route an input to an output for quick monitoring.

You're correct, the monitor checkbox has been removed. It's now on by default though.

Thanks. But neither SF6 or 7 are routing signals through my RME Multiface properly, so it would seem to be a soundcard issue. I'm not exactly sure what's going on because it was working in SF6 before I installed SF7.

Someone should make a universal multi-format virtual audio patchbay so that we could at least see what is going where at a glance...

Sound Forge 6 or 7 does not have an "input monitor" function, so I wouldn't expect there to be the ability to route an input to an output. If this is possible, this is usually done through the sound cards mixer section. I would expect something has been changed there.

The "monitor" check box on the record window, was a meter enable/disable function, thus you are monitoring the input signal with the meters. This was not an input to output monitor function.
