Terratec, echo-audio, m-audio, turtle beach, ANY SUGGESTION? -ACID Product Family

Posted by: sugiere Date:11/9/2003 10:32:35 AM i wanna buy new sound card, the purpouse of this card is VOICE RECORDING WITH A GOOD MIC for video documentals. With my actual sound blaster i get a background noise, i wanna get ride of recording with this noise. I´ve found several shops for terratec, but i can buy on-line too. ANY SUGGESTION?

Go with either Terratec, M-Audio or Echo. I'd probably go with either M-Audio or Echo, if only because of their better tech support. At that point, it all depends on what connections you want/need. Be sure to use an XLR mic with a good preamp before going to the audio interface. (Some audio interfaces such as M-Audio's USB Duo act as both an audio interface and a mic preamp, but note that due to the limitations of USB 1.1 audio, you're not allowed to monitor while recording.
