Subject:Many MP3 and Wave Save Options Have Disappeared

I am running SF 7a and have run the SF>Sony Migration tools. The probem is that I have now lost many of the MP3 Save As options (bit rates, etc.) and can only save .wav files as 16 bit. I have uninstalled and reinstalled SF7a with no success. I have also tried to put SF6e back on but have the same issues. I might add that all of my other Sonic Foundry apps (ACID Pro 4, Vegas 4, Batch Converter, CD Architect) now have this same problem.

Any Ideas?

TIA,
Greg

Sugiere,

That link seems like it might address the mp3 issue. Do you think this would also be the issue with only being able to 'Save As' at 16 bit?

Thanks,
Greg

Do you have Screenblast Sound Forge 7.0 or the pro version? Screenblast has limited bit-depth and kbps. If you have the pro version, you'll want to contact customer support.

Sonic,

No, it's the full pro version. I have pretty much fixed the problem. I unloaded all of my Sonic Foundry/Sony apps then deleted every reference to any of them from the registry. I reloaded SF7a first, then the rest of them. All options are back in all of the apps. The only remaining bug that I have is the first time I try to play a file in SF7a, I get a message that my driver doesn't support the sample or bit rate. It is Digidesign's Wave driver and it always seems to work the second time and every time thereafter that I hit play. I think the missing "Save As" options problem is related to the Sony conversion. Although, everthing worked fine for the first week SF7a was loaded.

PIV 2.4 GHz, Intel 845 PESV Mobo, 512 Meg pc2700 ram, WinXP, Digi001 - usually rock solid.

Thanks,
Greg
