If your MIDI track is being sent to a soft synth, try sending the soft synth to a bus, and then open up the bus track view and add envelopes there. (U is the keyboard shortcut. Note that ACID Pro 4.0 is the only version of ACID that has a bus track view.) You also could render the MIDI track into a digital audio track and then work with envelopes as usual. However, note that the MIDI track must be routed to a soft synth in order to be rendered. Otherwise, it's a no go. (To render a specific part of a track, solo the track, set the Loop Region over the area you'd like to bounce down, and press CTRL+M on your keyboard. Ensure the "render loop region only" is checked.) HTH, Iacobus ------- RodelWorks - Original Music for the Unafraid mD's ACIDplanet Page |

If you want to just do volume fade in or out you can "paint" it in the midi OPT editor. Dbl click on the midi track, select the "piano roll" tab, go to the bottom left and click on the down arrow which says velocity and then select volume, go to the bottom half of the midi editor window and the cursor will turn into a paint brush, then you can just "paint" in a smooth volume fade in or fade out. You can also edit many other parameters in thi s way. But, if you want to use any DX effects on a midi track you will have to create a bus, or if you are using a soft synth just click on the FX switch and insert fx,like you can do on each track. Hope this helps. Luces |
