Subject:Get Media...new provider??

Anybody else getting a Checking for New Provider screen when trying to download the November loops? It takes a long time to check, I just chose CANCEL, and the October Get Media window appeared. Must be a SoFo to Sony transition thing. M |

Just did the same thing & tried to let the update for new provider info do its thing for a half hour or so - i coudn't see that the modem was really doing anything when I left my computer & when I came back I had lost my network connection due to inactivity- -Actually, I would be quite suprised if there are any new getmedia loops available for the next week or so- historically speaking, they arrive a little later in the month |

The same thing happens to me as well. I'm also guessing everything is going through a transition. If I remember right, someone from Sony mentioned one more ACID 4.0 update before ACID 5.0 rolls around (though no approximate date was given). Maybe that will rectify the situation? There is currently a problem in getting new information to ACID regarding the new location of the Get Media page (yes, it's a transition issue...). We've identified the problem and are taking steps to solve it. The Get Media loops for November should be posted before the day is over, but I can't guarantee that the problem with reaching the Get Media page will be fixed by then.
