newbie says; I'm trying to get Acid to generate midi clock to my Novation K-station synth , so arpeggiators lock to beat. I think I have the K set up correctly on ext. clock etc, but it's not seeing it. The bpm (120) should come up in the K-stations's "Ext. Clock In..." setting when I play beats in Acid. -Don't know much about midi/midi clocks etc. -On PC, Using Sound Blaster Live card -Midi cable out of sound card and into (not the "thru" input) K-station and vice versa -Computer settings-for midi clock/midi timecode settings, do I set everything to Sound Blaster live "midi port?" of to one of the three Soundblaster Live software synths' that show up? -helpless |

MIDI acts like a loop as far as the signal flow goes. You want the MIDI cable adapter's "MIDI Out" to go into the "MIDI In" on the K-Station. Similarly, you wan the "MIDI Out" to go into the "MIDI In" on the MIDI adapter cable. Try that first. MIDI Out on MIDI cable > MIDI In on K-Station > MIDI Out on K-Station > MIDI In on MIDI cable You only use the MIDI Thru if you want to send a copy of what's coming in via the "MIDI In" port to another MIDI device.
