Im trying to get the Midi Timecode to work, but it wont. What im trying to do is sync up my Korg Electribe EM-1 to Acid so i can hit record in Acid and it will automatically start the Korg. Ive set the Korgs Clock to External, but yet nothing happens when i hit Play or Record in Acid. Can anyone help me out? -Sin |

Sin, where ya been? Ensure that MTC is actually being generated for a specific MIDI port by going to the MIDI tab under Options>Preferences on the menu bar. Check the desired port, then go to the Sync tab and choose that specific port for output under "Generate MIDI Timecode settings". Right-click the time display in the upper left corner of ACID's window and select "MIDI Timecode Out". This should tell you when ACID is sending out the signal when you playback or record. What MIDI interface are you using? Be sure its drivers are properly installed. HTH, Iacobus ------- RodelWorks - Original Music for the Unafraid mD's ACIDplanet Page |

Nope...still nothing. Im using my Terratec EWX 24/96 sound card's Midi Port. Should i only have the Midi In plugged in? Cause i have both In and Out plugged in the Korg. Also..under the Sync tab...for Generate Midi Timecode, Generate Midi Clock Settings and Trigger From Midi Timecode Settings, i have them ALL set to my EWX card. Should i only have the first one selected? -Sin PS. Ive been really busy with moving and visiting family on the east coast and...well..trying to find a frickin job. |

Hmmm. You could try just connecting the Terratec's MIDI out to the Korg's MIDI in, but having the Korg's MIDI out to the Terratec's MIDI in shouldn't really interfere. The same goes for what's assigned under the Sync tab. You can only have one type of timecode active at a time. Have you tried any updated (or just different) drivers from Terratec? LOL Sin, remember the cardinal rule: It's always something simple, and usually the last thing that's checked. :o) Iacobus ------- RodelWorks - Original Music for the Unafraid mD's ACIDplanet Page |
