Should I uninstall previous version of Acid when upgrading?

upgrade version 4.0e actualy posted on upgrade

You should install only the newest version. Don't worry about installing the previous version first.

You do not need to uninstall first. At least I've never had a problem.

The update can either act as a patch or as a standalone installation. You should be OK. If you ever have problems, you can uninstall everything and just install the update, but note that you'll have to reset everything to your preferences.
