Specifically, I have a vocal track (called by default, "Record take 1" or whatever). I want to add an effect, but not to then entire vocal track--only to a portion of it. The problem is that no matter what I try, I can't figure out how to highlight only a segment of the track to determine where/when to kick in the effect. I can either highlight a time selection of the ENTIRE song, or apply the effect specifically to the vocal track--but only to ALL of it at once. I can't figure out how to select only a few seconds (or measures) out of the .wav recording of my vox. Any tips? |

you need to right click on the track, and click on "insert fx envelope" you will see a line show up along the whole track, then you need to insert points on that line. where ever you want to adjust your fx envelope, right click at that point and click on "add point" you then can adjust how much, if any of the effect you want. (you need to click on the line you just inserted, NOT the track itself) at this point you can adjust the amount of effect is sent at that point in time. (like in a vocal track if you just want some reverb at a breakdown) hope this helps... --marc |
