Subject:any way to NOT show .acd-bak files in the Open dialog?

a silly question perhaps, but this has been bugging me for some time now. i have a lot of .acd project files in one folder. and since it's a pretty big list it's rather annoying to see every project listed twice in the File -> Open dialog in ACID 4. in this dialog the .acd project file AND the .acd-bak backup file are shown, making my list twice as long for no good reason. is there some way to select just .acd files to be shown, and not their backups? i checked the available file type selection options, but there isn't one for just .acd files. "All Project and Media Files" also shows both file types. i know i could probably hide the acd-bak extensions in Windows itself, but i don't want to hide these files in any app other than ACID, so that's not really an option. anyone got any ideas? |

cant really get rid of them, nor should you want to!!! but, i do know how it is to sort trough all sorts of crazy files. if you go to the directory where everything is stored, you can "arrange icons by type" then, all your .acd backups will be grouped together and you can just skip through them. (thats what i do) -marc |

set the atributes to hidden or mark the "type" as hidden system files. |

thx for the suggestions, but i already said i'm not going to set the file types to hidden. also, i don't want to get rid of the bak files, i just don't want to see them in the Open dialog in ACID. but i guess it's not possible. maybe something to consider for v5.... |

Create a new folder in the folder you keep your Acid projects in, and move your backups there. |
