Does sine wave synthesis take into account the Nyquist sampling limit. That is, does the data in a wave file for a 20 KHZ sine wave at full amplitude (0db), 16-bit, 44.1K sampling truely represent a full amplitude sine wave or does the synthesis reduce the amplitude due to the frequency being at the Nyquist limit (20KHZ) in order to accomodate the analog filitering that occurs in all digital-to-analog convertors? |

But isn't the filtering at 22.05kHz for this reason (i.e. 20kHz is supposedly the upper limit for human hearing, so filtering at 22kHz is fine)? |
