I don'tthink you can. But, if you accidently do it, just got "CTRL+Z" to undo, and all the media will re-appear.

Oddly enough, Zippy, this is another example of where the Undo button comes to the rescue. Yes, it works. I just tried it.

OK, I'll bite...

How can removing UNUSED media from the media bin be a problem?

Its only a house cleaning thing.

Why not create real folders and put you bits in there, you can also use them as markers for latter projetcs.

Or as I once heard.
Say not ,how can I get rid of the Icon but how can the icon get rid of me.

Making the folders is a good idea. I've actuatly prefered that to the media bins in Vegas. Much more versitile. :)

Sure, using folders to organize media is good for media that is used only in this particular project. Media Pool and bins is a way (at least in theory) to organize and work with libraries of offline media (collections of lower-thirds, looping backgrounds, etc.): you have them sorted in bins by particular media (tapes, CDs, external HDs) with poster frame and clip length info. Use whichever you like in the project. Then, when finishing projest, recapture offline media and/or copy media to the hard drive (now that you know which ones you used and where they are stored [by bin name]).

Create a catalog of your collections and save project file with Media Pool and bins as template.

That'd be convenient.

So it depends on types of projects you are doing.

Well, I've only Ignored User on the home machine so I guess I'll bite.

If you look more closely at the types of questions that Zippy has been asking lately you'll see that these are Accessibility issues. Obviously the buttons are too small, the warning and confirmation dialogs either aren't there or aren't big enough to see, etc, etc.

Maybe there needs to be an option that triples the size of the interface and asks for confimation two or three times before letting you do anything. This would accomodate anyone with little or no hand-eye coordination, people with severely impaired eyesight, and anyone with severe mental dysfunction or attention deficit.

This could solve most of Zippy's problems.

Okay, so I ignored user at home, came to work and saw this entire thread. I made one response and now ignore user has kicked in and I only see zippy's first post.

First of all, why didn't it work from the get-go?
Second, why do I have to see Zippy's first post at all?

The whole entertainment value of Zippy's posts is to read the responses. I'd rather see the responses without Zippy than Zippy without the responses.

Don't answer in this thread. I can't see it.
