Will there be a problem if I delete the huge files with the extension *.sfap0 that are created when I save work as an MP3? If I delete them and need to edit a sound file from an MP3, will I still be able to perform all the available function w/o the *.sfap0 files. I know I can delete them, but will I need them later on? |

There is no problem deleting them. If you ever need to open the MP3 file in SoundForge again then the .sfap0 file will be recreated if it doesn't exist anymore. It's only used while you are editing and isn't necessary after that. SoundForge 7 doesn't need to create the .sfap0 files. |

Great. Thanks for the reply. I had deleted several and then began to worry about future edits. |

if you want SF to automatically delete these files when you close the application, go to Options -> Preferences -> File tab. then check the option "Delete temporary files on close". |
