I posted this on the Vegas forum, but would like to hear from folk who use Acid more regularly. I just bought Acid 4.0, and want to create some romantic music to go with professional wedding photogs. Here's the full thread SPOT or others - Yes, creating music isn't difficult, but it will take some time/experimenting to get decent at it. However, going through the loops, most of them seem mostly for techno music. I want to do some romantic music to go with the wedding photos - can you create romantic music with loops???? For those you are thinking "oh yes, you can!", can you direct me to which of Sonic's sound libraries that you'd recommend . I'm looking through the catalog (skipping over the 90% which is techno-oriented) and listening to the samples, but if there's one or two that you use or know of that would fit the romantic style, I'd appreciation the "sign-post". |

In case you didn't see my reply over there I'll copy it here. Romantic isn't as easy to find as techno but these might help. Get some top quality sample libraries - strings voices etc, then download some classical music MIDI files, play through your lovely string samples and preto: better romantic music than you'll ever get out of some old loop. |

I have the above loop discs--they won't work. The Orchestral Series is done by some wacked out Russian guy who flavored all the pieces with typical Eastern Eurpoean folk scales and extremely dated harmonic content. If somebody would just put out some sophisticated new age modal loop discs that would work as building blocks for a relatively non-aggressive, melodic construction kit MNJ would have something to work with. But sadly, the field is utterly dominated by sub-25 beat freaks whose main adjective for tracks is "sick". Indeed. |

Adding to what Spirit mentioned, ACID's largely unknown strength lies in what you throw at it—in this case, custom content. Hire someone who plays an instrument such as piano and record them, for example. Iacobus ------- RodelWorks - Original Music for the Unafraid mD's ACIDplanet Page |
