One reason I record loud/hot -- I need those Large visual peaks and dips represented on the Acid screen so I can sync to them, edit, etc. this can be a problem, sometimes I clip/distort, sometimes I have a perfectly good signal but no visual to edit to. QUESTION: Is there any way to increase the visual mark made by a sound that's not very loud? (I hope this makes sense here.) ***Also: when I add wavs to projects, I use paintbrush/depress control to bring them into a track. PROBLEM: then I have to select 'em and drag 'em to the far left. This is no big deal, but sometimes I do this with MANY tracks. I tried SELECT-ALL but that doesn't work. QUESTION: IS there a way to bring tracks into ACID so that they automatically are lined up far left, so I don't have to drag 'em? thanks. |

Answer to first question: Not really. The waveform represents the strength of the audio signal. A weak signal is represented by not much, while a strong signal has a very strong, "wavy" look to it. The only thing I can suggest is maybe maximize the track's vertical height. Answer to second question: No. Where you click is where the track's event will begin when using the Paintbrush+CTRL combo. (The same actually applies for something like the Draw Tool.) This is purely a usability issue; for all ACID knows, you might not want to line up your brought-in tracks, so that when track's are added to the project, the placement of events are left up to your discretion. If you want everything to align at the beginning, try using CTRL+HOME so that the viewpoint focuses on the beginning of your project and go from there.
