How can I make Sound Forge 7 NOT rebuild peak data when I open a WAV? I would like to save the peak data from the previous session so that I don't have to wait for the rebuild. (I assume this is stored in the SFK files, which disappear when I close a WAV after editing in SF.) |

By default, Sound Forge creates SFK files so that it doesn't have to rebuild the peak data. Did you shut it off? The option is under Options>Preferences on the menu bar. Look under the File tab. Uncheck the option, "delete tempoary files on close," if it's checked. HTH, Iacobus ------- RodelWorks - Original Music for the Unafraid mD's ACIDplanet Page |

Also, save before closing the file. ..... before you attempt to close and get the message: "Do you want to save the changes to ____" |
