Subject:ACID DEVELOPERS LOOK HERE!! Posted by: marcarotsky Date:10/9/2003 1:08:03 PM i saw the thread on ideas for upcoming acid releases, but to be honest...it was quite long and i didnt want this lost in cyber space!! 1. REX FILE SUPPORT to be able to import recycle and reason samples would be AWESOME!!!! i know of A LOT of professioanls who, like myself rely on acid and reason together. so, the ability to directly import rex files would make our lives MUCH MUCH easier!!! 2. IN ADDITION TO THE EXISTING "CHOPPER" a resampling type "chopper" would be excellent!! (take an existing sample and chop it into individual parts and have the ability to resample it any way you like!) 3. BETTER AND MORE ACCURATE BEATMAPPING!!! the beatmapper with acid is just, in my oppinion, "OK" a more accurate one, with better timestretching would be imperative!!! (less echo and signal degradation) 4. A NATIVE VOCODER PLUG-IN. granted, you can use a VST plug-in for vocoding, BUT...a native ACID one would be great! --these are just a few of my ideas. hopefully they can be implemented. ACID is an amazing program, and trust me...ive used em all....live, logic, pro-tools, sonar...ACID still has my heart. its just as good, if not better than these. ESPECIALLY for remixing, which is my bread and butter! :-) adding some of these suggestions, i think, would put ACID back on top where it should be again! :-) thanks for your time and consideration. -marc
